Will there be a Windows 8 soon?

Posted by Michael On October - 25 - 2009

Microsoft just released Windows 7 two days ago. I have used it since Beta and love it. But a quick search on google will pop up a lot of information on Windows 8. Does this mean it will be released soon? I doubt it. Microsoft has not even acknowledged it is even being tested yet.

If you read some of the sites posting about it, they are looking at a 2012 release… End of the world? Maybe!

Some information from windows8center.com

Dubbed the Copenhagen user experience, the following video is supposed to be a concept for a future generation of Windows – namely Windows 8. I was a bit surprised to see many Windows 7 concepts included so I contacted the creator, who confirmed that some concepts were adapted straight from Windows 7. The concept seems to be one year in the making.

So is this true? I am very curious now! If it is then we have a pretty nice looking UI to look forward to. I am skeptical about it though as they just release windows 7 two days ago. I do hear some people saying that Windows 8 is a scam or that it is just XP with a virus.. Only if you torrent it which is illegal and should get you a big fine.

With the new bar and layout, it kinda takes on the look of a cross between OS X and Linux in my opinion It looks ok but it my have problems with how things go in the task bar.

Will add more posts about this as new information is available.

More posts to come! be sure to watch for them.
